Guide to Setting Up Commission Fees for Card Payments in Altegio

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to set up commission fees for various card payments within the Altegio system. This feature is crucial for ensuring accurate deductions based on the financial system you're using and the card payment methods your business accepts. Let's begin by understanding where to access this feature and how it works.

Step 1: Accessing the Commission Settings
To begin setting up commissions for card payments, navigate through the Altegio interface:
Log in to Altegio and go to the Finance section from the main menu on the left. Select Card Payment Settings under the Finance tab. Here, you'll see the options for setting up commissions for different card payment methods (Offline and Online).

Step 2: Offline Cards Payment Commission Setup
When you select Offline Cards Payment, you'll be able to set commissions for various offline card transactions. This includes setting commission rates for:
Pix Offline Payments: This option allows you to define a specific percentage or flat fee for Pix transactions.
• Debit Card Commission: Set the percentage or flat rate you want to apply to debit card payments.  • Credit á Vista Commission: Apply a commission percentage for single-payment credit card transactions.
Installments Commission: For installment-based credit payments, you can set different commission rates based on the number of installments (e.g., 2 installments at 5%, 3 installments at 10%). Make sure to review these rates and adjust them based on the agreements you have with your payment processor or acquiring bank.

Step 3: Online Cards Payment Commission Setup

For online transactions, the commission rates are often determined automatically based on your connected payment system.
To review or adjust these: Go to the Online Cards Payment tab. You will see a notification indicating that commissions for online payments are determined automatically by the system, depending on your payment provider. To make any changes, click Go to settings and follow the instructions provided by the connected system.

Step 4: Payment System Selection for Online Payments

In the Online Payments section, you can also choose which payment system to use for transactions that happen via your online booking widget.

Click Select a Payment System.

Choose the desired provider from the list and confirm your selection.

Set up any mandatory or optional prepayments to streamline the payment process for clients.

Step 5: Additional Settings and Customization

In the Card Payment Settings page, you can also configure:

Prepayment Settings: Whether the client needs to pay in advance for services, either fully or partially.

Payment Waiting Period: Specify how long the system should wait for a payment before canceling the appointment if the payment is not completed.

Client Arrival and Checkout Initiation

Once a client arrives for their scheduled appointment, the appointment status will automatically update in Altegio to reflect that the client is present. You can begin the checkout process by:

Navigating to the Client's Appointment in the Status section.

Verifying the Service they received, the Price, and any additional products or services they may have added during their visit.

Initiating the Payment Process

When the service or product details are confirmed, scroll down to the Total section, where you will see the total cost for the client's service.

Here are the available payment methods:

Cash Payment: For clients paying in cash.

Debit Card Payment: For payments via debit cards through acquiring.

Credit Card Payment: For payments via credit cards, including installment options.

Pix Payment: For clients who prefer paying via Pix, either by QR code or Pix key.

Payment Link: You can send a payment link directly to the client if they prefer to pay online.

Processing the Payment via Card

If the client chooses to pay via credit or debit card:

Select Pay by Credit Card or Pay by Debit Card. If the client is paying in installments, you can select the number of installments directly from the dropdown menu under Pay by Credit Card.

Review the available installment options (e.g., 2 payments of 1800 R$, 3 payments of 1200 R$, etc.), and confirm the one that suits the client.

The system will calculate the installment amounts based on the total price and display the breakdown on the screen.

Once the payment method and installment plan (if applicable) are selected:

Click Proceed to Checkout. The system will process the payment, and you will be able to provide the client with a receipt for the transaction.

Selecting Installment Plan in Online Booking Widget

Upon selecting Credit Card, the client is shown options for paying in installments:

They can choose the number of installments (e.g., 2, 3, 4, up to 10).

The total amount is split evenly across the chosen number of installments, with the monthly payment displayed clearly.

The client selects their preferred installment plan.

Input Payment Details

The client inputs their credit card details:

Card number

Expiration date

Security code (CVV)

They review the selected installment plan (e.g., “6 payments of 360R$”) and the total amount to be charged.

Confirming Payment

Once the details are reviewed and confirmed, the client clicks Pay in Installments or Confirm Payment.

The payment is processed, and the client sees a confirmation screen, showing:

• Installment Plan (e.g., "You chose 6 payments of 360 R$")

• A receipt or confirmation email with details of the transaction.

The client receives confirmation that the payment was successfully completed, and the appointment is now fully confirmed.
