Adding categories and services

After adding information for the location you can proceed to add and edit your services.

What is it and what is it for?

This section allows you to customize and manage all the services offered by your company. Services refer to any type of activity, task, or work carried out by the company's employees for which they receive compensation.

For instance, services offered could range from haircuts, manicures, and group fitness classes, to specialized medical consultations, ultrasound procedures, and automotive repairs.

Each service falls under a particular category, which groups together similar services for ease of organization. Categories are represented by sections or folders that contain several types of related services.

For example, categories might include haircuts and hair coloring, medical consultations and diagnostic procedures, or various types of automotive repairs such as bodywork and engine replacement.

Editing

In the main menu go to Settings > Main settings > Services section.

To create a new category, simply click on the "Create" button and select "Create a category" from the options. This will prompt a pop-up window to appear, where you can input all relevant information about the new category.

Read more on how to set up categories here.

To add services to your company's roster, you can either click on the "Create" button and select "Create a service", or navigate to a specific category and click the "+ Add service" button within. A new window will open up, prompting you to input all necessary information about the service. Read more on how to configure services here.

Should you require it, Altegio allows you to upload your list of services from Excel, as well as download it to an Excel spreadsheet for a convenient organization (read more about this here).

To view the contents of existing service categories, simply click on the folder that corresponds to the desired category. This will open up the category, where you can add, edit, or delete any of the services listed within.

Altegio caters to both individual companies and chains with multiple locations, offering a range of features specifically designed for the latter (learn more about our chain features here).

For companies that provide the same services across different locations, our chain interface allows you to easily configure these services across all locations, without needing to create them individually for each location (read about these settings in more detail here).
