What is it and what is it for?

Analytics from the Altegio online booking form can go to the analytics service in the company's account. Analytics services help to monitor the number of visitors on the site or service, filter them according to many different criteria, and track user actions. Online booking widgets are tightly integrated with various analytics services, which allows you to get advanced analytics of customers. 

You can set up the process in the Online booking > Online booking widget section. Go to the Analytics tab in the form of an online booking and indicate a unique identifier.

For configuration please follow next steps:

1. Register an account in Google Analytics

2. Create property or application

3. Go to the Online booking > Online booking links section.

4. Select the required online booking form, go to the Analytics tab and configure integration with analytics service.

Add a unique identifier of the analytics service and click the Save button. The list of events that the widget will send is displayed on the Description of events for analytics tab. 

Note: No web analytics service guarantees 100% accurate data. There may be cases where data from several sources may vary slightly. If you plan to verify the number of conversions from services with data from Altegio, please keep in mind that clients can book an appointment not using one form of booking, but many different sources and partner sites where other widgets could be installed.

Creating goals in Google Analytics

Adding a goal is optional, Google Analytics also captures just events, without goals. But goals are possible as well.

Sign into Google Analytics and go to the required property or application. Go to the Admin section and in the View column select Goals.

Click + NEW GOAL or Import from Gallery to create a new goal, or click an existing goal to edit its configuration. In the Goal setting select Custom and click Next. In the Goal description specify the Name and Type as Event, click Next.

In the Goal Details specify Action as an event identifier (you need an identifier in Latin, for example: booked). Click the Save button.

Note: If + NEW GOAL and Import from Gallery are not visible, then you have already created a maximum of 20 goals for the current view.
